A charismatic new girl band, a ruthless industry mogul and a struggling singer-songwriter. This tragicomic tale follows 7 characters over the course of one tumultuous year as they experience the highs-and-lows of fame and wrestle with the tough choices it brings.
Fast paced, bursting with humour, original songs, dance and high-energy sequences from Girlz’ live-show, Girlz also tackles current issues including mental health, media trolling and sexual harassment. Ultimately however, Girlz is a tale of friendship and love in a cut-throat industry.
The full version of Girlz is currently one act of approximately 100 minutes.

This brand new British Musical was workshopped in February 2025, at Havant & South Downs College and then received its abridged premier at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival between August 1-23 2025 at the tiny Jade Studio Greenside@George Street. It received an outstanding critical response and was nominated for Best Musical by Musical Theatre Review. It is currently undergoing some revisions and we hope to be back at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2026. It is currently being produced by the writer Daf Hughes and his wife, Josephine under Girlz Productions.
