MEGGIE HUGHES - NICKY

Meggie studied Musical Theatre and Dance at Performers College Essex. She graduated in 2024 with a First Class Honors Degree. Since completing her training, she has moved to London where she works and continues to train and grow as a performer through creative opportunities and collaborative projects. She collaborated and performed in the workshop of Girlz in 2024 and performed in the Premier in Edinburgh in 2025. Meggie is excited to be part of this new production. She is represented by The Wainwright Group.

TAMARA TARE - ALEX

ZOE ANTONIOU - JAZ

Zoe is delighted to be returning to the role of Jaz in Girlz, having been a part of the show since its very first workshop back in 2024. Zoe was also played the role at its Edinburgh Fringe premiere last year. A 2024 graduate of Performers College, Zoe has also performed in Sleeping Beauty at the Oxford Playhouse, as a swing at Lapland UK and as a character and parade performer at Disneyland Paris.

DANIELLA MIRELS - KIM

Originally from Australia and now based in London, Daniella has built a career spanning stage and screen across Australia, the UK, and abroad.Her professional engagements include Beauty and the Beast: A Horny Love Story at Charing Cross Theatre in London’s West End, working as a singer-dancer for Universal Studios Singapore and Genting SkyWorlds Malaysia, touring internationally as a lead member of the Australian Children’s Entertainment Group Hi-5, and she is a current member of the vocal harmony group ODY•C. Her Australian highlights include Frenchy in The Original Grease (Seymour Centre, Sydney), Little Red in Into the Woods (Concourse Theatre, Sydney), and originating the role of Jessica in Three in the Bed (Sydney Fringe Festival). Daniella was part of the original cast of Girlz at last year’s Fringe Festival and is excited to return for the show’s second season!

 ABIGAIL WILTSHIRE - CHARLIE

Abigail is a graduate of Performers College Essex. Before beginning her professional training, she performed with The Classical Ballet and Theatre Dance School, The Chelmsford Ballet Company, and Tomorrow’s Talent Stage School.During her training at Performers College, Abigail appeared as Galileo in We Will Rock You and as Plankton in The SpongeBob Musical. She also performed in the 2024 Braintree Institute pantomime production of Dick Whittington. Abigail is excited to be returning to Girlz in the role of Charlie and is looking forward to being part of such a fun and energetic production.

TOMAS BAINES - ADAM
Tomas is an actor-musician from Somerset. He trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, graduating with a First-Class Honours degree. His credits there include Machinal, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Peter Pan.
Before training, Tomas attended King’s College, Taunton, where he held a Drama Scholarship. A skilled guitarist, he is particularly drawn to work that integrates live music and storytelling.

Since graduating, he made his professional debut as the Nutcracker at the Taunton Brewhouse, and recently appeared in the short film Huntsman. Tomas is delighted to be joining the cast of Girlz at the Edinburgh Fringe.

LEE DOCHERTY - DAN CASHMAN
Lee trained at Bird Conservatoire in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre. Credits include: Prince in SNOW WHITE (Blue Genie Productions); William inNIGHT MOVES - Film (Dir. Jamie Cutler); Dan in NEARLYWEDS (Dir. KATY WEIR - DIRECTOR

Katy is a Theatre Director from the North East of England. She graduated from Bretton Hall in 2005 and since then has developed a diverse portfolio of work both nationally and internationally. She is associate artist with National Youth Theatre of Great Britain and The Market Theatre Laboratory, Johannesburg. Most Notable work includes 'Cinderella; A Fairytale' at Northern Stage, 'The Owl and The Pussycat' at The Customs House, 'When the boat comes in' , the world premier of the famous 1970's TV show which used to air to over 15 million views and 'Encountering the Other', an international work exploring womanhood around the world that was selected for the British Council Connect ZA award. This year she was selected as one of twenty-five director's lab fellows and will be attending the Toronto Lab in June. Katy is thrilled to be working on Girlz and looking forward to sharing the heart of what is essentially a beautiful story.

SIMONE MISTRY-PALMER - CHOREOGRAPHER

Simone began her training from a young age at the Jenny Sullivan School of Dance and the JaniceThompson School of Singing. She then went on to further her training, graduating from the London Studio Centre. DAF HUGHES - WRITER

Daf studied Music at the University of York and took his first Musical to Edinburgh in 1989 as part of his degree. He submitted his second musical to Cameron McIntosh in 1996, who said it was 'not for me (he still has the letter). Since then he has worked principally as a teacher of Music and Musical Theatre in Further Education, as well as performing in various bands and projects. He currently performs regularly with the Elton John show Rocketmania (www.rocketmania.co.uk) and Joel and John - the Piano Men.  In 2020 Daf left teaching and set up his own company Meon Music,  to allow him to focus more on writing projects. In 2021 he (finally) completed his third Musical, the Christmas based Operation Santa, which was performed in December 2022. A first version Girlz was completed in 2023 and was workshopped in Feb 2024, before its Edinburgh premier in 2025. He lives in Hampshire with his wife Josephine, and has 3 grown-up (ish) children.
